21-year-old pop star Miley Cyrus wants to bring attention to a documentary called Free the Nipple by calling attention to her own nipples.
Granted they were covered by two cartoon hearts wishing everyone a “Merry Christmas.” But everyone took a look over the weekend anyway.
“Merry Christmas,” she captioned the photo. “THANK YOU NY for being one of the few states to @freethenipple.”
Apparently the movie by actress and activist Lina Esco, who previously starred with Miley in LOL, tackles the issue of banning female nudity in film, while giving violent images far looser restrictions.
“It’s not about getting your t*tties out,” Miley wrote in a tweet clarifying why she bared all. “It’s about equality.”
