Nigerian actress Ini Edo has been announced as one of the judges for Miss
Black Africa UK 2013 which is slated for Saturday, October 5, 2013 at
the Royal Regency, London, UK.<br />
<br />
She joins Adebayo Jones, Charles Ven, Sporah Njau, Jenni Steele and
Justina Mutale.<br />
<br />

The beauty competition is one of UK’s largest ethnic pageants, and was founded
in 2011 with the sole aim of giving young African girls living in the United
Kingdom a platform to showcase their beauty but most importantly their culture,
talent and creativity to the world.<br />
<br />

The pageant seeks to bring out those leadership qualities in women and the
winner becomes a goodwill ambassador for Miss Black Africa, charged with
designing and implementing a charity program based on their Pageant Platform.<br />
<br />

In addition to the beauty competition, the Grand Finale is a Charity Award
ceremony recognising individuals and organisations that have in one way or
another contributed immensely to a good cause.<br />

Tony Eberiri, the ex-husband of Nollywood actress Chika Ike, has cautioned
her against posting “rubbish” about him on social media.<br />

He warned the actress to desist from accusing him alone as responsible for
the breakdown of their marriage and to stop spreading untrue and unfair stories
about him or risk facing the law.<br />

Ike had, on July 26, posted on her Facebook page that she was single again
after an Abuja High Court granted her divorce two months after the request was
filed.<br />

Recent comments by her also hint that she was a victim of domestic violence,
which is one of the reasons why she ended the marriage. The claims were however
debunked by her husband, who has said that there is no substance to his
ex-wife’s stories.<br />

Top actress and producer, Bukky Wright is at the moment in sobriety over
 the loss of over N40m to conmen who approached and talked her to buy a 
property in Lagos recently.<br /><br />The Yoruba actress and Chivita brand 
ambassador we gathered from reliable sources, was still in shock over 
the huge amount of money she was skillfully swindled of a couple of 
weeks ago.<br /><br />According to the source, Bukky was said to have been 
approached to acquire a house by a close family friend, the said person 
was so close to Bukky to the extent that every secret is kept with her.<br /><br />Bukky,
 out of ignorance, came to Nigeria, inspected the said property, having 
been well satisfied with it, and wrote a cheque of N40m to the swindlers
 and since then nothing has been heard about it.<br /><br />When Bukky tried
 all avenues to retrieve her hard-earned money back, it was said to have
 yielded no positive result and just recently, Bukky decided to swallow 
the bitter pill by bringing a closure to the deal gone sour.<br /><br />“It 
was at the beginning of this Ramadan season that Bukky resolved to leave
 everything in God’s hands,” a source in America told us.<br /><br />Meanwhile,
 some of the friends of the actress who got wind of the incident said, 
Bukky kept mum over the case because she doesn’t want it in the press; 
the reason is because, she might be queried how she got a whopping N40m 
to buy a house.<br /><br />There are also rumours that, one of her ex flames
 in government might have been one of the sources that coughed out the 
said money for the house.<br /><br />However, Bukky Wright is a top actress 
in Nollywood, she has produced some movies valued at over N100m, so N40m
 shouldn’t be an issue in this situation after all, and she is also 
engaged to a rich dude who resides in America.

one year. I have done a lot. In January alone I shot five movies. Even 
if I am paid just N150,000, multiply it by the amount of movies I have 
done. Now, multiply that with what I will do in an entire year, of 
course I can conveniently buy this car. It is funny the way people look 
at us in this industry and think we are poor people. I heard that as at 
the time Tonto Dike bought her Hummer Jeep, she was charging N400,000 
upward. In a month, Tonto can shoot six movies. So multiply that 
N400,000 by six in a month. Even if she doesn’t have the whole money for
 the car of her choice, she candeposit half of the money with a dealer 
and they will give her the car because she is a star. So, people need to

Unconfirmed reports reaching our newsdesk, say that veteran highlife
musician Fatai Rolling Dollars, is dead.<br />

Born 22nd July 1926, Rolling Dollar was known for his verve and dexterity on
the guitar. His zest for life and energy, even in old age, was also a marvel to
all who beheld him perform.<br />
<br />

He got a new lease of life after years in the doldrums, through Asiwaju Bola
Tinubu who revived his career and fortunes, after the Liaison de France was
brought back into public consciousness. Fatai, who was one of the highlife
singers who made in the 60-early 70s, had a lull in his fortunes before
providence smiled on him. Papa Fatai is dead.<br />
