Imo State Deputy Governor Jude Agbaso was today impeached by the State House of Assembly. 25 out of 26 state legislators voted in favour of Mr Agbaso's impeachment. The deputy governor was impeached for allegedly demanding and taking N417million bribe from a Lebanese Construction company, J-PROS Limited, engaged in the on-going road construction works in Imo State. Agbaso denies he collected bribe. Meanwhile, Chief of Staff to Governor Rochas Okorocha, Eze Madumere, has replaced him as Deputy Governor of the state.
