the presidential pardon for former Bayelsa State Governor, Diepreye 
Alamieyeseigha, was in order.</b></span></div>

interview, Dokubo threw his weight behind President Goodluck Jonathan’s 
decision saying those criticizing him are being “mischievous.”</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">According to him, “the 
President has the right under the constitution to exercise the 
prerogative of mercy. And because the right to do this is 
constitutional, it makes the view of anybody, which may be to contrary, 
null and void and of no effect whatsoever because it is done on the 
basis of the right granted and protected by the constitution of the 
Federal Republic of Nigeria. Secondly, the whole world knows that the 
money stolen by Alamieyeseigha belongs to the people of Bayelsa State.”</span></div>

State have forgiven him long time ago and have rehabilitated him. In

victimised. What we have discovered is that the majority of the people 
criticising the pardon because of politics stole much more than what 
Alamieyeseigha stole and they are walking free. Go to any state and look
 into their financial records, come back and tell me if their money have
 never been stolen in a manner that is even worse than the celebrated 
case of Alamieyeseigha. What do you say of the people who are allowed to
 do plea bargaining and they are walking free? But we are saying that, 
if we want to fight corruption, it should be holistic. All the governors
 who have ruled any state since 1999 should tried,” he said.</span></div>

ambition of President Goodluck Jonathan to seek a second term in office

region will have “two terms of uninterrupted presidency. It is a 
constitutional right for Goodluck Jonathan to go for a second term.”</span></div>

the fortune of the country?. What did the previous administrations do to

slaughter houses. See what is happening in the airport or aviation 
sector today. Go to Kano Airport, I flew from there. Go to other 
airports across the country. The railway has been on its kneels for many
 years. Today, for the first time in many years, trains go from Lagos to
 Kano. These are evidence that people can not wish away.”</span></div>

the call for a national conference, he replied this way: “I am all for

Because the people who are doing the killing in the North, they are 
daring others. And let me tell you, the consequences of what is 
happening now in the North, by the time it fully arrives, it will be too
 late for them.”</span></div>

One Mr Onyekachi  Ekwelum, who allegedly sold his six-month-old 
son to raise funds to process his travel documents, would  be appearing
before a magistrate in court to defend his action.<br />

Mr Ekwelum allegedly hatched and executed the act without the consent of the
wife, but the lid was blown off by his 20-year-old spouse Ozioma when she could
not find their son and reported the matter to the police. Her husband had
wanted to travel to Greece.<br />
<br />

The Abia State commissioner of Police, Mr Usman Abubakar Tilli, who
disclosed this to newsmen in his office on Monday, said the police mounted
a man hunt that led to the rescue of the child and the arrest of the suspects.<br />
<br />

CP Tilli warned criminals to stay off the state as there would be no
hiding place for them and said the suspects have been charged to court.<br />
<br />

T he Commissioner  who expresses  concern over spate of 
child trafficking said that on March 4 this  year Mr Chidiebere Samuel of
Ovungwu in IsialaNgwa south  Local  government area that his wife
Odinaka Samuel  connived with a nurse  Monica Benjamin who delivered
her baby girl and sold the child at N150, 000.<br />
<br />

Describing such acts as inhuman, he said the suspects in the
criminal transaction have been apprehended and charged to an Umuahia
Magistrate court.<br />
<br />

In a similar incident in  Amoji  Isiala Ngwa 
north  local government  the commissioner said that  a man Mr
Oluchukwu Ogidi  reported that his wife Kelechi on March 16 connived with
one Dr Williams Oruwa who delivered her baby and sold the newborn baby boy for
N350.He also said  the suspects have been arrested and charged to
court  even as he revealed that in the course of investigation three
pregnant women allegedly harboured by the suspect possibly to have their babies
sold after delivery were discovered.<br />

families to cater for as the bread winners of their homes. They pay school fees
and house rents when a single actress will use all that money to buy a car or

City People, the recording artiste and brand ambassador, decided to make

<strong>When you released that album there was something a lot of people noticed?</strong></div>

Let me tell you that Wizkid wasn’t on the album. First of all, I 
want to say that what we like to call ‘Bad Belle People’ because they 
think there may be bad news and when you don’t give them that news they 
start to create it because I guess bad news sells more than good news. 
So I want to say categorically that there was no twitter fight. People 
go on-line and use Photoshop to create my profile and say that I said 
this and then they go and create Wizkid’s profile and say he said this.</div>

The bottom line is first of all, that never happened and what 
happened is that we’ve been working on Wizzy’s project to make it work 
internationally and when you are getting to that level things change. </div>

He
 has his own idea of what he wants to do and we are in 100 per cent in 
support of that and these are things that we dreamed of back in 2009 
when I signed him. I felt like this guy can blow all over the world, 
this guy can you know really be a star and now that it has happened it 
is a good thing there is a Disturbing London angle he wants to take and 
so on and so forth and there is a contract in place and he is still 
signed to EME.</div>

<strong>Because the general believe is that he started his own thing, ‘Star Boy entertainment.’</strong></div>

Well, you know that is something else he wants to do. He wants to
 start his record label and I mean I started my own label and look where
 I am today. You have a lot of people fabricating stuff and trying to 
make it feel like there is a battle and you know we don’t believe in 
that. We are all mature, we are all grown up people and we are all happy
 for one another.</div>

You know he is starting his label and we are in support of that, 
he is going internationally and working with Disturbing London, and we 
are in support of that. There is still the Konvict Music angle which we 
also orchestrated so I guess we can call it restructuring but we are all
 on the table negotiating and figuring out the best way to make the 
project move forward. There is no beef, Wiz is absolutely a part of the 
family legally, he is still signed even aside from contract somethings 
are bigger than contract and money. EME and Wiz will continue.</div>

It is just that we are figuring out the terms and the reason he 
is not on the album and in fact he had worked on some one or two things 
that were supposed to be on the album but in the interest of kind of 
respecting the conversation that we were having, you know what let’s 
figure out where we are going and how we are going to do his next level 
stuff. So we decided as a group to suspend the music that we worked on 
together just for now till we figure out all of that. We are almost at 
the conclusion will that. He is absolutely and will always be a part of 
the family. I mean we created history, this is somebody whose debut 
album took the whole country, the continent  by storm and you know we 
all worked on that, so it is a good thing not a bad thing, growth is 
good so that is really the long and short of it.</div>

<strong>How does it work for him to have star boy entertainment and still be a part of EME?</strong></div>

I would give you a fantastic example, Kanye West has “Good Music”
 and he is still with Rock Nation, Rockafella that is all I am going to 
say about it. There is no beef, no war. One day I woke up and I saw on 
twitter that somebody has used Photoshop to make my profile and said 
some random things and used some terrible English that I have never used
 in my life it just unfortunate that as far as we have come as an 
industry there are still some people in the media and I want to give 
credit to like City People.</div>

You guys never took that route and I respect you people for that 
because some other blogs and sites started creating things out of thin 
air to cause a problem. We are working and we are all trying to achieve 
our dreams and hopefully taking this movement to another level.  I have 
never said anything negative about Wiz, and Wiz has never said anything 
negative about me publicly and let’s just accept and leave it like that.
 Wiz will continue to be successful, EME will continue to be successful.
 Let’s just keep the peace one big happy family.</div>

I have to explain it. The album launch was structured in a very 
specific way. We used the album launch, I might add, to launch the 
Samsung Galaxy Brand phone by the way if you haven’t got one you might 
go out to get one which has my signature on it but at the album launch 
nobody was acknowledged because it was not one of those events where you
 sit down and say “Oh Don Jazzy is in the building and now we have the 
CEO of Samsung in the building and now you have eLDee the Don in the 
building who were there.</div>

We wanted to have something that is not a typical event. Secondly
 from the stage, I don’t acknowledge anybody and that is not a 
disrespectful thing it is just the structure of the event. Wiz came in 
like Don Jazzy, Samsung Executives, eLDee the Don, IK, Waje, like 
everybody else came in and we had a fantastic event and nobody was 
complaining from my end but again I go back to the fact that people want
 to create bad news and it is exciting. Exciting for some people when 
Biggy and 2Pac are throwing words at each other and when Nas and Jay-Z 
are fighting and then people just want to create that and it is sad, 
really sad.</div>

Okay, again, I want to say about “sharing formula” again, I got 
back to the something I have been saying which is when you don’t give 
them bad news that create it. EME has the fairest recording deal in the 
country by far. I can go pound for pound and show you the terms that EME
 artistes including myself even though I own the company, have versus 
any other recording contract name the recording company. You don’t do 
that but I can beat my chest to say EME has the best recording contract 
in the industry, it is not just true for people to say or hint that any 
of my artistes are received 25 per cent. It is impossible and even you 
as an artiste can never sign that kind of deal so it is 100 per cent 
false. Part of the reason the EME deals are structured the way they are 
is because I am an artiste myself and when I was coming up, I was 
offered a lot of deals even in Nigeria that were not just but now that 
I’m to start up myself, I wont sign a deal with an artiste I wont be 
able to sign myself which I have also signed the same deal.</div>

the long story short, the report out there is 100 per cent untrue.</div>

In fact, if you actually look at the clause that EME takes on 
behalf of the artistes from the  day we signed until when they released 
their album or whenever money starts being generated, the deal is 
actually more in favour of the artiste than of the company but we do 
that because I myself just wouldn’t feel right about a record deal that 
won’t benefit the artiste. It is 100 per cent false again. It is just 
sad that some people try to create news. They don’t have the fact so 
they create them. However, you have to go back to the things I actually 
said not the things people said I said or what people said Wizzy said 
you know, it is just what it is.</div>

People can say what they want, but what I tell my artistes is 
that Jesus Christ was perfect and he was still crucified. How much more 
us with all the crazy, bad messed-up things we have done in our lives

are going to cheer there are come that want to tear you down regardless.</div>

Lagos State Police Command has arrested members of a gang that
allegedly robbed Murtala Muhammed International Airport on March 13,
2013.<br />
The police on Tuesday said the gang was also behind another operation at the same airport in 2012.<span id="more-19696"></span><br />
One of the suspects, Atoba Adeniyi, who confessed to being part of
the two operations, however, said his share was only N45.5m –N45m in
the first and N500,000 in the second.<br />
Adeniyi spoke while being paraded alongside six others involved in
the robberies at the headquarters of the state command in Ikeja.<br />
<br />
The suspects had stormed the airport on March 13 and carted away
millions of naira and foreign currencies after killing two police
inspectors.<br />
It was learnt that the robbers, Ibikunle John, Atoba Adeniyi,
Ibrahim Abdullahi, Kazeem Aderibigbe, Saheed Adekunle, Christian Joshua
and Saheed Okunola, stole over $2.5m (N400m) in the 2012 robbery.<br />
Adeniyi, who claimed he only drove those that carried out the recent
robbery at the Airport, explained that he had a transport company and
other businesses.<br />

He said, “I was involved in the airport robbery in 2012. I am not
naturally an armed robber. I used to be a truck driver in Bayelsa State
and they (the other robbers) told me they needed my services. It was
later I discovered that they wanted to stage a robbery. After the
robbery, I was paid N45m.<br />
“I went back to Ibadan in Oyo State, where I built a duplex and
started a transport company. I cut all ties with the robbers and even
changed my telephone line but they found me and told me that I must
come for one last operation. After the second operation that two
policemen were killed, I was given N500, 000 because things did not go
as planned.”<br />
<br />
John, who claimed to be a pastor, said he only prayed for the
suspects and gave them spiritual items to aid them in their operations. He said he only met the suspects in February and had tried to
dissociate himself from them but they threatened to kill him if he did
not play along.<br />
The suspect said, “I met them through a friend, Paul, who brought
them for prayers at my church, the Way of Joy in Egbe, Lagos. Later,
they confessed that they were robbers and threatened to kill me if I
exposed them. I made them to swear an oath of secrecy and also gave
them some spiritual backing.<br />
“I never followed them to any robbery because I still have a congregation that needs me.”<br />
Abdullahi, who is a labourer at the airport, said he was not an active member of the gang but only an informant.<br />
<br />
Abdullahi, an indigene of Plateau State, said he usually helped people to carry luggage at the airport.<br />
He said, “I never followed them to any operation. I only told them
how they could steal money from some people at the airport that carry
large amounts of cash. After the robbery in 2012, they paid me N1.5m
for my cooperation. “I collected it because the amount of money I was making from
pushing around trolleys was too little. Imagine, I was earning between
N700 and N1000 per day. It was just too little.”<br />
The Commissioner of Police for the state police command, Umar Manko,
said the suspects had been linked to a series of robberies in the
South-West.<br />
Manko said three vehicles and some rounds of ammunition were recovered from them.<br />
He said, “During last month’s robbery, two policemen were killed.
However, one of the robbers, later identified as Teslim Okunola, was
also killed. From the corpse, we were able to gather information which
led to the arrest of the other suspects.<br />
<br />
“We recovered from them, five AK-47 rifles, four dynamites, 64 AK 47
magazines fully loaded, two local pistols, two masks and many charms.”</div>

racism and snobbishness among the aristocracy in Longleat (the current

As Benue state continues to grapple with the rising figures of HIV/AIDS 
in the state, Executive Secretary of the Benue State Agency for the 
Control of Aids (BENSACA), Mrs. Grace Wende has revealed that the agency
 recently discovered a 400-member homosexuals club existing in 
Makurdi,the Benue state capital.<br />        She said the organization 
otherwise known as Men Sleeping with Men, MSM, has a large membership of
 male students from higher institutions in the state.<br />

Wende who 
made this disclosure yesterday at a one day Training of Media 
Practioners on HIV/AIDS in Makurdi, said the existence of the g.ay club 
in the state was not helping the state government’s efforts at curbing 
the spread of the HIV virus in the state.<br />

club was discovered during an Epidermic appraisal carried out by our 
Canadian partners in collaboration with BENSACA following the state 
government’s resolve to fight the increasing trend of HIV/AIDs in the 
state as shown in 2011 survey.<br />

interacting with the group of young men who are mostly undergraduates in
 various higher institution of learning located in the state.” She 
stressed that the idea of identifying with the MSM which usually holds 
their meetings in December in Makurdi was meant to reduce the spread of 
HIV virus commonly found among them.<br />
        Mrs Wende further urged all 
stakeholders to join the fight against the virus in the state, 
stressing, “there is a heightened need for scale-up of effective and 
efficient HIV prevention efforts in the state if we must all win this 
war against the virus.”</blockquote>
