A 23-year-old woman was on Tuesday arrested in Jigawa by the Nigeria
Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), for allegedly dumping her new born
baby boy in a toilet in Hadeja town of Hadejia Local Government Area of the
state.<br />

The Corps Commandant in the state, Mr Muhammad Gidado, said in Dutse that the
suspect was arrested following a tip-off by patriotic citizens.<br />

He explained that the suspect gave birth to the baby on Sept. 1 around
11.30p.m and allegedly dumped it in the toilet.<br />

The Commandant said that the suspect alleged that she was impregnated by a
man who ordered her to dump the baby.<br />

Gidado said the man has also been arrested, adding that “he confessed to
committing the offence”.<br />

He said that medical examination conducted at General Hospital, Hadejia,
revealed that the suspect gave birth to the baby.<br />

He stated that efforts were being made to recover the baby, which he said
“might be dead by now due to the hours it spent” in the toilet.<br />

The commandant said that the suspects would be charged to court after
investigation had been concluded. [NAN] <br />

<b>Background</b><br />

My name is Yetunde Alabi a.k.a Sasha. I am in my 20s and I have a degree in
law from the University of Lagos. Rapping is a talent and I just discovered
that I could do it. Growing up in the 90s, I got a lot of influences from hip
hop. I love Lauryn Hill, Tupac, and Fugees to mention but a few. It had an
influence on my choice of music.  Rapping came naturally to me because I
also started off writing poetry.<br />

<b>Why I went off the scene</b><br />

It was a deliberate decision because I needed to take some time out to focus
on my retail clothing line, ‘Eclectic by Sasha’. My dream is very big; I want
to be in every state in Nigeria. The fashion in Nigeria was getting bigger and
what I wanted to do had not been done. I had to just focus on my fashion
business. Even during that time, I made sure I released one or two singles and
collaborated with other artistes. We are still recording but I am not going to
announce any dates. All I would say is that we are very excited about the new
sound we are working on.<br />

<b>Fashion business</b><br />

Fashion has always been something that I did. I have always made the clothes
that I wore for performances. Also, I had dressed other artistes and I had
styled videos. My mother had a fashion house when I was growing and she had
loads of tailors. I had done music for about 10 years when I decided to delve
into fashion properly.  The unofficial debut was in 2011 at a multi-brand
retail store but after a year, I got familiar with the business and I did an official
launch in 2012. The brand has done very well. I wear my clothes and I have been
invited for a lot of shows in the last one year.<br />

<b>First Lady of rap</b><br />

That title was given to me by my fans .It was the title of my debut album
and everybody decided to call me the First Lady. As much as I am not into
titles, I think the reason why the name resonates is because I have had a lot
of firsts in my career.<br />

<b>Other female artistes</b><br />

I always say it is not about the competition. I love music and I am excited
about the success being recorded by all the female artistes. The more, the
merrier. All the divas are my friends and we have helped and advised one
another in some ways.<br />

<b>Staying power</b><br />

It is God. When God blesses you and you do what you are supposed to do, He
will grant you favour.<br />

I studied law because I have always been very opinionated. I am very
inquisitive and I have an opinion on everything. I did not go to Law School and
the choice not to practise was mine. I did not have nine months to go away just
when my career was taking shape. Apart from that, there is nothing you do in
life that you don’t require legal knowledge for; therefore, my degree in law
comes in very handy. I am already taking courses in arbitration and alternative
dispute resolution. Maybe when I retire from music, I will do that as well.<br />

<b>Bad remarks hurt</b><br />

Everything that I do does not necessarily have to be liked by people that
are even my friends not to talk of people that don’t know me. People are going
to say a lot of things but figure out which is true and if there is a lesson to
be learnt , take from it and go instead of dwelling on it. I won’t lie, I have
been upset a lot and that is one of the reasons I did that song, ‘Adara’.<br />

<b>Endorsements</b><br />

I was not dropped by Samsung. My contract expired and we did not renew. It
is wrong to say I was dropped because you don’t even know what was in my
contract.<br />

<b>Style</b><br />

I think style is being comfortable in your own skin. Style also means
confidence. If you lack confidence, you can’t be stylish; you will be following
every fad to make up for your inferiority complex.<br />

<b>Marriage</b><br />

I don’t talk about my personal life and when you don’t talk about something,
people are going to speculate and say all sorts of things. I won’t even tell
you the qualities my Mr Right must possess because you won’t receive
applications from prospective suitors on my behalf.<br />

Ex-Federal Capital Territory minister, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, has 
revealed that his daughters, who both have Masters Degrees are unable to
 get jobs despite his connections.<br /><br />On Thursday while delivering a
 lecture at the Sixth Annual Alao Aka-Bashorun Lecture, organised by the
 Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, he lamented the spate of 
unemployment in the country.<br /><br />“Forty-two per cent of Nigerian youths are unemployed,” he said.<br /><br />“I
 have two daughters with Masters Degrees and they are unemployed. They 
have been at home for more than a year and I cannot get a job for them.<br /><br />“We
 are sitting on a demographic time bomb and unless we have visionary 
leaders that are able to plan for the future, we will have a huge 
problem.”<br /><br />According to reports, the former minister, whose 
lecture was entitled Impunity, Injustice and Insecurity: What Role for 
the Law,’ said Nigeria needed to create three million jobs yearly to

Miss Fernee now lives off her wealthy parents after quitting her £30,000 job in scientific research two years ago.<br />
She said her appearance meant she was constantly harassed and bullied, and has decided work ‘just isn’t for her’.<br />
Yesterday, she said: ‘I’m not lazy and I’m no bimbo. The truth is my 
good looks have caused massive problems for me when it  comes to employment, so I’ve made the decision that employment just isn’t for me  at the moment. It’s not my fault … I can’t help the way I look.<br />

Laura said she didn’t get the acknowledgement she  deserved for 
her scientific achievements as people only paid attention to her  looks‘Male colleagues were only interested in me  for how I looked. I 
wanted them to recognise my achievements and my   professionalism but 
all they saw was my face and body.’<br />
<br />
She said men left ‘romantic gifts’ on her  desk and she was ‘constantly asked out’, which she found ‘sleazy’.<br />
‘Even when I was in a laboratory in scrubs  with no make-up they 
still came on to me because of my natural attractiveness. There was 
nothing I could do to stop it,’ she added.<br />
<br />
Miss Fernee studied science and medical  research to doctorate level 
and began working in a laboratory in 2008.  But she  said she was forced
 to quit three years later because of the  treatment she  received.<br />
<br />
She said: ‘They [other women] assumed because  I was pretty, I was 
stupid, so didn’t take me seriously at  first and, because  of their own
 insecurities, were jealous of my looks.<br />
<br />
‘Then when they realised I was very good at  my job, possibly better than them, they hated me even more.’<br />
Miss Fernee’s parents – Catherine, 65, and  Alan, 70 – inherited money
 from  Laura’s grandfather, and now pay £2,000 a month  in rent and 
bills for  her flat in Notting Hill, London, as well as picking up  her 
credit card  payments.

Contrary to reports in the media that Super Eagles star and Orduspor 
midfielder, Yusuf Ayila, abandoned his wife and kids in Ukraine and 
eloped with a girlfriend, latest information reaching us has it that

The trouble started when I asked her to bring my children for holiday in
 Ukraine. One day, while I lived with her, I opened Gbemi’s wardrobe in 
Ukraine and found different charms, including a snake inside a bottle 
filled with gin.    <br /><br />It was a confirmation of the feelers I got 
from family and friends that she is fetish and had been using charms on 
me. I felt uncomfortable living under the same roof with her. In view of
 this development, <br /><br />I told her to return to Nigeria, to which she
 refused. At that point, I told her I can’t cope with her bad habit 
anymore; that she had to go back to Nigeria or I’ll leave the house for 
her.<br /> <br />Meanwhile, before seeing the charms in her wardrobe, she’s 
always been at loggerheads with my mother for no concrete reason. I had 
to leave the house in Ukraine to get another apartment when she refused 
to leave.<br />

Yet it never stopped me from paying the house rent, even after my 
departure to Orduspor, Turkey, my club. I kept paying the children’s 
school fees and other bills and later discovered that her Visa will 
expire in a few months’ time. <br /><br />I sent her a mail asking her to 
leave Ukraine and go back to Nigeria since she hadn’t anything concrete 
doing and yet again she refused.  I sent her another mail threatening to
 stop paying the rent in Ukraine by the end of April.<br /><br /> When she refused to leave, I sent someone to collect her passport lest she tarnishes my image and career. <br /><br />I
 started hearing some unimaginable stories of her escapades with men 
each time I visited Nigeria, but I kept my cool.  She was also reported 
to be having an affair with a popular Fuji star who also denied the 
allegation. <br />

She had on several occasions connived with some people to kill me, which I survived by the grace of God. For the records, <br /><br />I
 have a recorded phone conversation of that’.  According to Ayila, he 
gives Gbemisola 1 Million Naira as monthly allowance. As for the said 
mistress, Ayila defended that he’s now legally married to her.<br /><br /> 
He described the new woman as a very responsible, God fearing lady who
