"I told you guys a while back that telecoms giants Globacom planned to 
cut ties with some of their Nollywood ambassadors after signing new 
ambassadors from the Nigerian music genre. Well, the deed has been done.<br />
<br />
Globacom today dropped their Nollywood ambassadors with the exception of
 four people - Chioma Chukwuka, Ini Edo, Funke Akindele and Desmond 
Elliot. These four remain as Glo ambassadors for now while Ramsey Noah, 
Rita Dominic, Mike Ezuruonye, Monalisa Chinda, Nonso Diobi, Uche Jombo, 
Odunlade Adekola have been dropped.  <br />

They've been told to go to the legal department of Globacom to pick  up a
 letter - a letter terminating their contract with the telecoms company.

I'm such a bish! Some of these ambassadors don't even know they have 
been dropped. Some have picked up their letters, some haven't. Oh well,

Last night Friday May 3rd at Mike Adenuga Tower on Adeola 
Odeku street in Victoria Island. Hundreds of staff of telecoms giant 
Globacom gathered at the lounge situated on the ground floor of the 
office building to celebrate with their chairman after a text message 
was passed round the office on Thursday afternoon inviting staff to a 
birthday bash with him. Mike Adenuga turned 60 on Monday April 29th.<br />
<br />
Okey Bakassi was there as the MC, the DJ was already playing music, 
drinks passed round while people waited for the billionaire businessman 
to arrive. Mike Adenuga eventually showed up in his Range Rover bullet 
proof SUV around 8pm. He graciously greeted people at the entrance of 
the lounge but stopped in his tracks as people started cheering loudly 
as he entered the lounge.<br />
<br />
The haling was so loud and probably too much for Adenuga that he 
immediately turned around and left the lounge. He got into his car and 
left with his security detail. He never came back. <br />
<br />
Glo staff waited for a few hours and eventually left when they realized their chairman was not coming back.

show Naija Sings, preferring to throw their full weight behind new show 
The X-Factor.<br />

According to information on Globacom’s website, the show was ‘aimed 
at discovering, developing and rewarding Nigeria’s brightest and boldest
 musical talents’, but it seems the objective has not been thoroughly 
met.<br />

Globacom is known to support a wide array of entertainment programmes
 including; the annual Ojude Oba festival in Ijebu-Ode and the Ofala 
festival in Onitsha; CNN’s International weekly half-hour magazine 
program, African Voices, and a series of other events and shows.

The show was full of glamour and excitement with <span class="IL_AD" id="IL_AD4">superstars</span> and notable guests both from within and outside Nigeria. In attendance at the show were 
the Glo Ambassadors; Desmond Elliot, Odunlade Adekola, Monalisa 
Chinda, Funke Akindele, Chioma Chukwuka, <span class="IL_AD" id="IL_AD1">Ini Edo</span> and Ego alongside with some other superstars.</span></div>
All present were thrilled with the stage performances
 of Niyola – the EME first lady, Burna Boy, Vector the Viper – one of
