2face Idibia was the special guest on Channels TV’s  ’Rubbing Minds’ 
show on Sunday and there he talked about his marriage to Annie, on how 
huge his wedding was and why he ‘didn’t’ invite Blackface to his Dubai 
wedding, his peace initiative and his Forbe’s Top 10 African artistes 
placement.<br />

On being added to the recently released Channel O/Forbes list of 
Africa’s most bankable artistes, 2face stated that he deserved to be on 
the list because he worked hard for his money.<br />
He said “on the Forbes list, nobody asked me for any information, I 
don’t know their criteria. I work really hard for my money and I won’t

 boy! I will just go for Wyclef. The guy is just too much. He has the 
kind of spirit I like, simple, friendly, intelligent, talented, focused,
 playful, down to earth, serious. He’s just my kind of person.<br /><br /><b>Who’s
 your favorite Nigerian music act and among the upcoming ones, which do 
you feel can become the next Tuface or make it as big as you have done?</b><br /><br />I’m
 not even going to answer that because I have so many friends and

 and not mentioning another. But I have many favourites, I love their

A very big disaster was averted last Sunday, May 19th, when an SAA 
South African Airways Airbus A340-600, registration ZS-SNG performing 
flight SA-60 from Johannesburg (South Africa) to Lagos (Nigeria) 
conveying over 300 people developed an electrical fault in Mid-air. I 
got this info from someone on the flight and i am suprised that it’s not
 in the news.<br />
<br />
I heard about it yesterday when a work colleague of mine was 
narrating the entire story to me and another guy in his car. According 
to him, he was on the flight that faithful day..it was a night flight 
and he was listening to music from his Ipod when he perceived a foul 
burning odor, he thought the white man sitting next to him had farted 
but he knew it something more serious when he noticed people panicking.<br />
<br />

He pulled his headphones and asked the white guy sitting next to him 
why people where panicking, all the white man was saying was ’’this 
plane is going to crash! This plane s going to crash!..all of a sudden 
the lighting system in the aircraft went off…everyone was mad with 
fear.. some started praying others brought out their blackberries and 
started pinging, some started calling loved ones and telling them their 
last wishes.<br />

The captain then announced that the plane had developed an electrical
 fault and they were going to have an emergency landing. The pilot then 
turned the plane around and headed back to South africa, My colleague 
then revealed that it was then he saw 2face Idibia walk past him and 
when he looked back he saw the popstar talking and calming his crew 
down, telling them not to panic.<br />
<br />

After 45 minutes, the captain announced that they were going to ‘dump
 the fuel’ i.e remove all the jetfuel on the plane, this is a 
precautionary step taken by pilots whenever a plane is going to crash or
 whenever there is a risk of fire. As they were about to land….another 
problem came up…the captain announced that the tires of the plane could 
not come out..by then everyone on the plane had given up.<br />
<br />

Miraculously, the tires came out and the plane successfully landed 
and the passengers were evacuated. My colleague then said that himself 
and other passengers were taken to the arrival lounge, that was when he 
met Tony Anenih’s wife,Josephine, they talked and exchanged cards.<br />
<br />

After much investigation, it was a kettle that sparked in the kitchen
 that affected the whole electrical system of the plane. According to my
 colleague a lot of Nigerians including senators constituted the bulk of
 passengers.

In an interview with showtime, Faze opened up about Tuface and Blackface:<br /><br />How do you feel today that 2face is a superstar as well as yourself, but Black Face is yet to hit the mark?<br /><br />Black Face is also going to be big. Everybody seems to be supporting him financially, and it takes a lot for people to believe in you. Black Face wrote almost all the songs we had in our first album, so, he has potentials. He has management challenges and people that believe in him. We must be frank, we have some junk music in the industry but they sell because they have financial backups to pay for publicity and other things. These days, if you are bringing out an album, it has to be well packaged, it has to generate noise. I’m working on something with him to make sure he bounces back.<br /><br />Since you know his problem, why didn’t you…?<br /> He’s going to be big. Everybody has his time<br /><br />But don’t you think it’s getting too late?<br /> Nothing is too late. He just needs a single and I’m working with him on his album because he was involved in my career. I remember when I wanted to go for a singing competition. I was young and scared of the unexpected because there were so many ladies there that could sing well. I didn’t want to involve myself because I noticed judges were usually partial when it comes to ladies.<br /><br />It was a live performance but Black Face encouraged me to go ahead. He accompanied me to the competition and I won at the end of the day. So, it’s the same spirit that I’m trying to give back to him. Whenever, we sit and write songs together, he writes in a different dimension. I think the only thing he needs to do is take his time and not to be in a hurry.<br /><br />It appears you are more passionate about Black Face than 2face?<br /> No, it’s not like that. 2Face is already big and Black Face will still grow. Most of the times when he’s down, I sit with him because I know his kind of person. He has talent and he has his fans. What is left is for him to give his fans the right music to listen to and enjoy.<br /> So why didn’t you speak with 2face to lend him a support?<br /> What he needs isn’t financial support. We are working together to bring out the right songs.<br /><br />What’s 2face doing about it?<br /> I’m sure both of them meet to discuss on their own, you know they are from the same area. I can only speak for myself that whatever I do for Black Face, I’m not helping myself, he’s helping me. I’m still going to do one or two songs with 2face in future. But I’m doing everything to make sure things work out well for Black Face. We are all looking for money to take care of our responsibilities. The highest we can do is work together and make more money. Black Face has been helpful to me even financially so, it’s on both sides.<br /><br />Why were you and Black Face absent at Tuface’s Dubai wedding?<br /> I was in Dubai but got to the venue very late. I had other functions I was attending to. People saw me because we were together at the club. Black Face has his own reason he didn’t make it.<br /><br />But you are his friend and you should know better<br /> He must have his reasons.<br /><br />Maybe, he didn’t have money for the ticket…?<br /> It’s not about the money because tickets don’t cost that much. He must have his own reasons. Tuface had his reasons he didn’t invite him too. After all, when Black Face did his wedding, none of us was there.

Pop superstar 2Face Idibia is set to hit the road for the eagerly anticipated Campus Connect: <strong>2face & Friends Tour 2013</strong> to be staged for the campus communities in 5 tertiary institutions across the country.<br />

excitement about the upcoming tour. He states: “I’m looking forward to 
my return to the campus circuit. It’s been a long time. For mainly 
timing and availability issues I have been unable to play some of these 
venues in like 8 years or more so for me, this is big deal. It’s going 
to be an emotional return to these campuses. I have received and still 
enjoy massive support from these spots. They are my personal people.”<br />
<br />

2baba as he is fondly called is stomping the yard with a line-up of 
friends that guarantees an unforgettable experience for fans. Hypertek’s
 hot boys <strong>Dammy Krane</strong> and <strong>Rocksteady</strong> alongside <strong>Vector</strong>, and long-time collaborator <strong>Sound Sultan</strong> are rearing to go.<br />

Other class acts billed for the tour include <strong>Sasha P, Seyi Shey, Timi Dakolo, Phyno, Crystals, Harrisong, Capital F.E.M.I Solid Star and Jus’ Kiddin’s EFA</strong>.<br />
