The theater was packed full as people came out in the yuletide spirit to see the play 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time'.</span><br style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;" /><br style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;" /><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">While performance was going on, cracking sound was first heard from the balcony and it progressed into the ceiling, and then came crumbling down on the people in the theater. Arik Flight Makes Emergency Landing As Pregnant Woman Gives Birth Onboard

An Arik Air flight with over 100 passengers en route to London Sunday was
forced to make an emergency landing in Palmas, Spain, as a woman went into
labour and gave birth while the aircraft was airborne.<br />
The pilot was said to have requested the emergency landing on the advice of
two doctors who were on board the aircraft and had helped the mother deliver
the baby.<br />

When the passenger went into labour, the cabin crew asked that doctors on board
the flight to identify themselves. Following the announcement, two of the
passengers came forward, saying they were doctors and assisted in the delivery
of the baby.<br />

Normally, a source disclosed that in the few instances where women have
given birth on board, the aircraft would continue its flight to its final
destination. However, the Arik flight was forced to make an emergency landing
following the advice of the doctors that the woman was bleeding excessively –
she was said to have experienced excessive hemorrhaging, necessitating the
emergency landing.<br />
<br />
At the time of this report, both mother and child were said to have been stable
but were left behind in Palmas for monitoring by medical personnel, while the
flight continued on its journey to London.<br />
<br />
The airline was trying to ascertain if the woman had presented a false medical
report from her doctor on the true duration of her pregnancy or she had gone
into premature labour while on board the flight.<br />
<br />
Women with full term pregnancies are not allowed to travel by air, according to
International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) regulations. As such,
intending pregnant passengers are required to present medical reports
certifying that they are less than 32 weeks pregnant before they are allowed to
fly.<br />
<br />
A source said the airline was carrying out a full-scale investigation to
ascertain the genuineness of the medical report presented by the woman.<br />
<br />
Arik Air’s management said yesterday that if it is discovered that the woman
was given a false report to enable her fly, it would file a special complaint
against the doctor who had issued the medical report to the Nigeria Medical
Association (NMA) for endangering her life and that of the baby, as well that
of other passengers on board the flight.

According to Saharareporters. Nigeria’s hip hop sensation, P Square (real name Paul Okoye), has 
reportedly abandoned the mother of his second baby in a London hospital 
where the woman recently gave birth to the entertainer’s baby.<br />
<br />
A few weeks after welcoming his first new born baby in Atlanta, P Square
 – who is also known as P2 – had another baby delivered for him in a 
London hospital by a former beauty pageant contestant. However, this 
time, P Square has refused to claim paternal responsibility for the baby
 boy.<br />

SaharaReporters learnt that the new baby’s mother is Elshama Benson 
Igbanoi, a 19-year-old and former Miss Plateau State. Our sources 
disclosed that she gave birth at the Queen Charlotte and Chelsea 
Hospital on Du Cane Road, London W12 0HS.<br />

Our sources said the new mother had been in touch with P2, but he had 
not been forthcoming beyond telling her that he plans to arrive in 
London for a DNA test to ascertain paternity. SaharaReporters spoke to 
the woman’s father, Benson Igbanoi, in Abuja. Mr. Igbanoi stated that 
his daughter was faithful to the musician. He also revealed that he had 
sent several emails to P Square concerning his daughter’s pregnancy for 
him, but had received no response.<br />

Another source said Elshama's family had contacted Paul Okoye's father 
and aunt to persuade the musician to accept responsibility for his baby.<br />
<br />
Ms. Elshama insists that she never slept with any man except for P2, 
adding that she lost her virginity to him when she was 17 years old.<br />

SaharaReporters learnt that the London hospital where she gave birth has
 not received any payments. “The hospital has been harassing both 
Elshama and her mother to pay hospital bills of over £5,000 that have 
been incurred,” said one source. The baby boy has been named Michelle 
Paul Okoye.<br />

In a twist to the story, a source close to the former beauty queen said 
Ms. Elshama was a close friend to Anita, the other woman who gave birth 
to another baby for P2 a few weeks ago in Atlanta, Georgia.

Argentinean International, Carlos Tevez, has been sentenced to 250 
hours of community service after he pleaded guilty to two charges.<br />

The Manchester City of England forward pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and driving while disqualified.<br />
<br />

The Macclesfield Magistrates’ Court in England also disqualified him 
from driving for a fresh six months; and fined him one thousand pounds 
(N250,000).<br />
<br />

Tevez was originally given a six-month driving ban in January when he
 pleaded guilty to two counts of failing to provide information about 
incidents when his Hummer car was clocked speeding. The ban was to have 
lasted from January 16 to May 25.<br />
<br />

In apparent violation of the ban, he was stopped by police while 
driving a white Porsche outside of Mottram Hall Hotel and Golf Club in 
Cheshire on March 7 following an anonymous tip-off.<br />
<br />

When he was stopped, Tevez told the officer: “I only live down the road. Two minutes.”<br />
<br />

Tevez could have been sentenced to a custodial sentence, but the 
magistrate, Elizabeth Depares, ruled that he a community penalty was 
preferable to a custodial sentence as he “had served a significant 
proportion of his disqualification” when he was stopped by the police.<br />
<br />

The 29-year-old footballer’s lawyer, Gwyn Lewis, said that the 
striker was unlikely to commit a similar offence and sought a sentence 
of “unpaid work.”<br />
