An emerging Lady rapper by the name of Tesh Carter released today her new joint "The Bounce" produced by the Top Notch Beatmaker Don Jazzy.
I automatically downloaded the song as soon as I saw Don Jazzy being credited on it.
You know his beats are always on point so you never really expect a disappointment.
Oh yeah I was right, it is a dope production.
I started practicing my Twerk & Swerve moves as soon as the beat dropped.
Her flow is tight, Lyrics & Hook are doing the job and the mixture of Hip Hop influenced by some
reggae/dancehall created the magic around it.
Hold on, did you notice what I noticed though?
Listen to the song again and tell me if it doesn't remind you of a successful Twerk song.
No need to go search or think too much, I will gladly help.
I listened to "The Bounce" again and again and I felt like this wasn't the first time I heard this combo.
I searched in my emails to see if I received the song before its release but no: Epic Fail
I decided to listen to all songs that were in my " TWERK" playlist.
BOOM: here we go.
Busta Rhymes ft Nicki Minaj - Twerk IT starts and I was like yeah that's exactly what I am talking about.
Same Rap flow at almost at the same time.
Compare both songs at following minutes.
Busta Rhymes: 1.42 mins and Tesh Carter : 1.59/2.30 mins
Do you get it now? Fine :-)
Even the "Twerk It"Bounce definitely indicates that Tesh was inspired by Busta Rhymes's "Twerk It"
I am not saying that it is bad. I actually really like the song but I wished it wasn't that obvious that
Busta Rhymes was the Inspiration here.
I can't wait to see the video to this track. :-)
Nevertheless, Tesh Carter is definitely an artist to watch out for this year.
The girl knows how to spit bars ;-)
As for me, I'm out.
Cogito Ergo Sum.
